In reference to reports made in the press today concerning a minor incident affecting a basement car park adjacent to the Townsquare site.
During coring works to prepare for the underpinning of the neighbouring property, a borer used by the contractor inadvertently punctured a non-load-bearing hollow concrete block wall and brushed the edge of a reinforced concrete column situated at L-4 basement car park level.
Following an immediate site inspection held yesterday afternoon (March 29) by the our architects in the presence of residents’ representatives, it was confirmed that the damage was superficial and remedial works will be carried out on Wednesday.
While apologising to residents for any inconvenience, Townsquare wishes to emphasise that it institutes the highest health and safety standards and at no point was the adjoining structure in any danger.
